It is normal for the spark electrode to glow red when the gas stove is on. The ignition electrode is so close to the flame and is grilled by the flame, the natural temperature is very high, and redness is normal. The gas stove has two electrodes, one is the ignition discharge electrode, and the other is the flameout protection electrode, both of which are in the high temperature area and need to use high temperature resistant materials. (There are two kinds of flameout protection electrodes, one is a thermocouple, which needs to generate a voltage under the high temperature of the flame to open the solenoid valve, and the other is an ionic type, which conducts flameout protection signals through the flame).
